Hello, I'm Chelsea Gardner!

When I was fourteen, I was obsessed with Princess Zelda from The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. On Halloween Day in 2009, I made her full costume in less than 10 hours using spray-painted cardboard, old wire, and safety pinned fabric wrapped around my body. The costume looked pretty bad, but that day was magical for me. The next few months I started saving money to purchase a custom made gown of P. Zelda until my Dad asked “Why don’t you just make it?” The idea never occurred to me because being a seamstress didn’t seem like something for me, even if it meant making only one silly little costume. Nonetheless, I decided to give it a try and dug out my Mom’s sewing machine with some old scrap fabric. That day changed my life, and I've been hooked to sewing ever since. Here I am several years later with my brand Thimble Forge and a self-made passion for sewing and costume design.
